You’re probably exhausted, your arm may be painful & swollen, & the adjuvant treatments can make you feel even worse. All you want to do is rest. In the past, that’s exactly what doctors recommended. However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise & improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.
Belly Pilates is Pink Ribbon Program Certified & offers private & duet instruction in a supportive & peaceful environment. We can successfully evaluate the patient from diagnosis to treatment, recovery, prevention of lymphedema & work within proper exercise guidelines & protocols. Major areas of concern include body image, frozen shoulder, &/or range of motion, depression & anxiety. Our sessions provide intimate instruction on purpose-built Pilates equipment.
Belly Pilates’ Pink Ribbon Program is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle & positive body image to all breast cancer survivors. The Pink Ribbon Program will help stretch & strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, & abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery. This program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago & accommodates all fitness levels.
Private & Duet Sessions Belly offers 55-minute private/duet sessions by appointment only. Our sessions provide intimate instruction on purpose-built Pilates equipment. We provide straightforward body conditioning exercises for the person who just wants to improve their general well being, as well as, specialized instruction for those with specific needs. Privates can be scheduled on-line. An instructor either in person or via phone must schedule duets.
