Belly Pilates as founded with the goal of helping women feel strong, healthy, energized, & balanced through every stage of life.
The Pilates Method is a low impact exercise designed to help anyone return to the health they enjoyed when they were young. It will teach you to move more smoothly & confidently, with strong, uniformly developed muscles with calm, focused energy. The goal of a Pilates’ workout is to strengthen & tighten the muscular area around your overstressed joints or ligaments, rather than work directly on & further tax these body parts. By moving your body gently & precisely within its natural alignment you will encourage the muscles to work more deliberately to support the joints.
Prenatal - Pilates is the perfect way to stay in shape during your pregnancy. While many forms of exercise take oxygen and blood flow away form your core muscles to your extremities, Pilates does just the opposite. Increasing oxygen and blood flow to your core is what your baby needs to develop and grow properly, and that is just what Pilates exercise does!
For many pregnant women, this is a time that they feel the greatest need & motivation to get fit & look after themselves. The Pilates Method provides the prenatal body with deep overall conditioning as it elongates & aligns her body. It also, helps strengthen the body for a smoother delivery.
Postpartum - Pilates is one of the best forms of exercise after having a baby. Pilates will balance the inconsistencies resulting from pregnancy & birth. After childbirth it can help the mother return to her pre-pregnancy body shape & fitness regime. Learn how to stabilize your spine and prevent back pain while caring for your new baby, while also strengthening and toning your pelvic floor and BELLY!
Unlike other types of exercise, you can start with Pilates at any stage of your pregnancy or postpartum period & still reap tremendous benefits. It is absolutely never too late to learn.
Pilates meets the prenatal and postnatal challenge.
It addresses the needs of the mother’s body from the inside out.
